Dispersing Agent

Typical Analysis

  • Nature: Polycarboxylate in aqueous solution

  • Appearance (20°C): Colorless to slightly yellow, clear liquid

  • Solid content (%): 42

  • pH (20°C): 7.5

Application

  • Our dispersing agent has been specifically designed to disperse ceramic clays for sanitary ware applications.

  • It boosts the efficiency of sodium silicates dispersing agents for sanitary ware clays, if they are used.

  • The chemical nature of our dispersing agent makes it very stable in the hard processing conditions of ceramic clays grinding and dispersion resistance to high temperature, to high pH and to hydrolysis.

Benefits

  • Reduces costs

  • Reduces processing time

SCMC (Sodium Carboxy-methyl Cellulose)

Grade

Ceramic sanitaryware Grade

Sodium Carboxy-methyl Cellulose is a cellulose ether prepared by the reaction of cellulose with monochloro acetic acid in the presence of alkali & water. It is an exothermic reaction. Cellulosic type, controlled reaction parameters and conditions yield various technical grades of SCMC depending upon the application desired by the industry. This technical SCMC is further purified with alcohol for its application in coating, cosmetic, ceramic, dry battery, emulsion polymerization, electro refining electro plating, food, oil well drilling, pencil, pharmaceutical, paint, paper, textile, tobacco, and welding electrode. SCMC Chemical formula of uniform one DS is (CnH₁₁O»Na₁), elements as:

  • 39.669% C

  • 4.545% H

  • 46.28% O

  • 9.5% Na
